In Presbyterian congregations, the Session is the local governing body, or court. Our Session consists of twenty-four ordained elders, each of whom is elected by the congregation and serves a three-year term.

The work of the church is carried out through divisions, umbrella units which may oversee several committees. Division chairs are members of the Session or of the Board of Deacons. These divisions are as follows:

The Clerk of Session is responsible for maintaining the minutes and correspondence of the Session. He or she is a member of the Session and is elected by the Session for a one-year term, which may be renewed. The present Clerk of Session is Mrs. Nancy G. Harley.
