Bach Society Concert: Monteverdi

Members of the congregation and friends have a wonderful and unique opportunity to step back in time to hear the music of Claudio Monteverdi, whose 450th anniversary is being celebrated on September 24 by the Bach Society of Charleston.  Monteverdi, considered one of the great composers of all time, was highly skilled in combining instruments and voices in music of beauty and passion. Performing will be the Charleston Baroque Voices and Players, including baroque
violins, viola da gamba, archlute, harpsichord and chamber organ, all conducted by Ricard Bordas.  The concert is Sunday, September 24, at 3:00 p.m. here at First (Scots) Presbyterian Church.  Tickets may be purchased at the door or online at
